Alhamdulillāh, by the infinite favour and grace of Allāh subhanahu wa ta’ala, we present to you the following book—Living Islam in Modern Times. The unprecedented times we are currently living in are of no doubt, extremely challenging and testing for Muslims worldwide. This book is a compilation of various articles written by Shaykh Dr. Rafāqat Rashīd Sāhib in the popular Al-Mu’min Magazine. Considering the great benefit these articles will bring to the Ummah, Mufti Saiful Islām Sāhib decided to edit and transform them into a book format, making the content easily accessible for readers.

Similarly, the dua of Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam in favour of any Sahabi was a sign of the pleasure and approval of Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. As he was the beloved of Allah, there was no doubt about its acceptance.
Fortunate were those Sahabah who received the praises and duas of Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam. In this short book, an attempt has been made to gather those narrations in which Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam praised or made dua for a Sahabiya (female companion of Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam).

Supplicating to Allah is the primary essence of worship and an integral part of every believer’s life. It is one of the most effective ways of building a strong connection with the Creator. Throughout the day, a believer should be in constant mode of asking Allah for his or her needs, whether big or small. Supplicating to Allah can be done in one’s own words and in any language. However, the supplications/prayers taught to us in the Qur’an and Sunnah are unique and contain special spiritual benefits. Each supplication holds oceans of meanings within itself. As such, one should memorise them with the translation, and form a habit to recite them at various junctures of one’s life.
